Internships at NYSERDA

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) has ongoing internship opportunities. Join our email list or check the Careers at NYSERDA page periodically to learn about new internship opportunities. All qualified individuals will be evaluated for each relevant position for which they apply.

We seek creative, self-motivated, and curious full-time college students to support our teams to facilitate change through the widespread development and use of innovative technologies to improve the State’s energy, economic, and environmental wellbeing. NYSERDA encompasses a robust set of energy efficiency, renewable energy deployment and market and business development programs to serve as New York’s primary source of objective energy policy information. Our programs and services provide a vehicle for the State to work collaboratively with businesses, academia, industry, the federal government, the environmental community, public interest groups, and energy market participants.

Visa Sponsorship Policy: Applicants must have the eligibility to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship from NYSERDA. It is currently the policy of NYSERDA that we do not sponsor individuals for work visas. This policy applies to obtaining either a new visa and/or a transfer of a visa from the current employer to NYSERDA. Exceptions to this policy may be made at the discretion of NYSERDA, based on business necessity or other legitimate reasons.
