This portal supports applications from INDIVIDUALS who are interested in being considered for the five provider roles listed below:
1. Residential Plans Examiner
2. Residential Inspector
3. Commercial Plans Examiner-Prescriptive
4. Commercial Plans Examiner-Performance
5. Commercial Inspector
Individual applicants can submit proof of qualification to be considered for ONE OR MORE of the five 3rd party support provider roles.
*Companies/ businesses entities that have multiple individuals seeking to be qualified for any of the provider roles are reminded to submit an application per individual.

A Residential Plans Examiner must have completed 6 hours of NYSERDA Energy Code Training and Support Service for Residential Buildings and the REScheckTM Basics by US DOE.
Please ensure that you have completed the 6 hours of NYSERDA offered training and the REScheckTM Basics by DOE before proceeding further with this application. Please note that NYSERDA maintains a database of applicants who have completed the requisite training. Information related to training can be found at: State Energy Code Training and Resources
A Residential Inspector must have completed 6 hours of NYSERDA Energy Code Training and Support Service for Residential Buildings and the REScheckTM Basics by US DOE.
A Commercial Plans Examiner-Prescriptive must have completed 6 hours of NYSERDA Energy Code Training and Support Service for Commercial Buildings and the COMcheckTM Basics by US DOE.

A Commercial Plans Examiner-Performance must have completed 6 hours of NYSERDA Energy Code Training and Support Services for Commercial Buildings.
A Commercial Inspector must have completed 6 hours of NYSERDA Energy Code Training and Support Services for Commercial Buildings and the COMcheckTM Basics by US DOE.
NYSERDA will not provide any direct funding/compensation for any individual selected by NYSERDA as a third-party support provider.
Any funds or work products associated with any third-party provider role will be determined directly by the relevant permit applicant and be based on established procedures within relevant Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
To the extent that any of the information provided is not true and accurate, NYSERDA reserves its right to remove applicant/participant from RFQL 4698 inclusion, in any and all forms.
